George Peel's Obituary
George Earl Peel, 69, of Greentop, Missouri, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, January 16, 2015, at his son's home in Greentop, Missouri, following a long illness. He was born in Centerville, Iowa, on August 11, 1945, the son of Margaret and Earl Peel. George loved The Lord and his family above all else, and lived a full and happy life, particularly enjoying the role of Dad and Grandfather. He was as good a model of a Dad as sons could possibly have, and will live on in the path he set them on. George equipped his sons for life by leaving an enduring legacy of faith and love, and he will forever be cherished for it. He is survived by his wife Linda, of the home; his sons from a previous marriage, Gregg (Tasha) of Greentop, Missouri, and Jason (Stephanie), of McKinney, Texas; his beloved grandchildren, Brandon, McKenzie, Autumn, and Cameron; his sisters Earlene McElroy (Bill), Sadie Ruth (Vern), and Karen Radavich (Alan); and nieces and nephews he was very fond of. George was preceded in death by his Mother and Father. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM , Wednesday, the 21st of January at the Thomas Funeral Home, in Centerville, Iowa, with Visitation at 1:00 PM that same day, conducted by the Rev. Brian Hargrave. Interment will follow at the Haynes Cemetery, North of Centerville, Iowa. There will be no graveside services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Northeast Missouri, in Kirksville, Missouri.
