George Byers, 69 of Udell passed away Saturday, July 31, 2010 at his home. George was born March 12, 1941 in Des Moines to Ike and Vilora(Davis) Byers. George married Karen Joy Briener in February 1963, they later divorced. He married Iris Susan Lowe in July 1994. George owned and operated Byers Septic Tank Service for over 35 years. He also cut and sold walnut trees over the years. George enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, playing with his dogs (Pepsi & Taz) and time spent with his family and friends. George is survived by his wife Susan of Udell, two sons; Todd Byers of Floris, Cliff Lowe of Udell, two daughters; Lisa Knoxx of Udell, Tina Stajcar of Floris, three sisters; Shirley Marshall of Mesa, Arizona, Kay Olson of Dewitt, Iowa, Bonnie Bousselot of Ethel, Missouri, two brothers; Ike Byers(Wyvonne) of LaHarpe, Illinois, Mike Byers of Ethel, Missouri, eight grandchildren; Jack Stajcar, Lucas Stajcar, Brittany Knoxx, Michelle Brewer, Megan Knoxx, Sidney Montegna, Meleah Scott, Noel Lowe, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Clarabel Knapp of Des Moines and a brother Ike 'Rocky' Byers of Atlanta, Georgia. His body has been cremated and a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date where memories and pictures may be shared.
