GEORGE W. MORRIS George W. Morris was born April 14, 1935 to John Montie Morris and Bessie Lee Morris (Arnold) and passed away January 9, 2011 at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa He was united in marriage to Doris Elaine Newburg of Seymour, Iowa March 16, 1982. George enjoyed watching boxing, football on Sunday, fishing in the summer and spending time with his family and grandkids. Preceding George in death were his parents, mother and father in law and several brother-in-laws. He is survived by his wife Doris Morris of Seymour, Iowa and five children, Mr. & Mrs. Irvin Newburg of Carbon Cliff, Illinois; Mr. & Mrs. Virgil Newburg of Seymour, Iowa; Mr. & Mrs. John Garr of Unionville, Missouri; Mr. & Mrs. Mike Jellison of Seymour, Iowa; Mr. & Mrs. Robert (Chip) Newburg of Osceola, Iowa; one sister, Vivian Lee Jarrett of Wilmer, Texas; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
