George "Mike" Munden's Obituary
George Michael "Mike" Munden, 51, of Promise City, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at his residence. Mike was born on October 5, 1965 to Patricia (Thomas) Wager and the late George Loris Munden at the military base in Onslow County, North Carolina. After graduating high school, Mike received two associate degrees from Indian Hills Community College and was employed as a police officer for five years but most recently worked at a local convenient store. He also served his country in the United States Naval Reserves. On December 21, 2004, Mike was united in marriage to Brenda Eastlick in Seymour. In his spare time, Mike enjoyed: fishing, hunting deer, mushroom hunting, watching movies with his children and riding his motorcycle. He was also a member of First Baptist Church in Seymour. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Brenda; children: Brooke Nicole Munden of Centerville, Jade Mackenzie Munden, Michael Jacob Munden, Matthew Jalen Munden and Jewelia Marie Munden all of Promise City and Justin Dean Wielard of Pella; mother, Pat Wager of Corydon; sister, Linda Munden of Ames; brothers: Wendell (Debbie) Millizer of State Center and Steve (LeeAnn) Millizer of Corydon. He is also survived by one grandchild who is expected to arrive in January of 2018. Mike was preceded in death by his father, George; niece, Kelsey Rae Wishman and his grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Thomas Funeral Home in Seymour. Visitation will be held one hour prior from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Interment will immediately follow services in Southlawn Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
