George Glascock's Obituary
George N. Glascock, 90, of Centerville passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. George was born to George and Marvel Glascock on October 27, 1926 in Cincinnati, Iowa. George was a veteran of the United States Army Corps. On February 21, 1953, George was united in marriage to Bonnie Hart in Unionville, Missouri. To this union came two sons, Greg and Kevin. George was employed by Mott Construction for a time and later had his own Welding Shop in Centerville before he retired. George enjoyed his work throughout his life. After retirement, he enjoyed working in his garden, growing 4 pound tomatoes and fishing. Survivors include his son Greg of Centerville, grandson, Sean Glascock of Portland, Oregon and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin, wife, Bonnie, parents, brothers: Paul, Otus, Raymond, George, Tommie, Richard and an infant brother. He was also preceded by his sister Jean Sebben. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment with full military honors will follow the funeral at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the family and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com.
