George Glascock's Obituary
George Gregory Glascock, 65, of Centerville, passed away on January 24, 2019 at Monroe County Hospital in Albia. George was born on November 9, 1953 in Centerville to George and Bonnie (Hart) Glascock. After graduating high school, George attended trade school for welding. On December 24, 1971 he married Teri Casady and to this union, one son was born. George and Teri later divorced. George worked for Winko Tank in Ottumwa for several years before retiring in 2014. In his spare time, he enjoyed: hunting for arrowheads, lapidary, creative welding projects using stainless steel, lighting fireworks and living in the country. He always owned an old truck and had a small dog. They cruised the gravel roads between Centerville and Ottumwa. He had a unique way of telling stories with a funny manor and a great sense of humor. He will be missed by his son, Sean and many extended family members and friends. George is survived by his son, Sean. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Jorita Hart; his father, George Numen Glascock and his brother, Kevin Gene Glascock. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 1, 2019 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Interment will immediately follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Thomas Funeral Home.
