Genevieve 'Ruth' LaPaglia, age 78, of Centerville, Iowa, died Thursday, March 25, 2004, at Centerville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Centerville, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Edward and Rosie (Johnson) Hays on November 18, 1925. Ruth received her education at Muscatine Community Schools.Ruth was first united in marriage to William Earles. After his death, Ruth was united in marriage to Paul LaPaglia, Sr. on April 22, 1977 in Davenport, Iowa. She was employed as a Nurses Aid and was a member of the Methodist Church. Ruth was preceded in death by: her parents; her first husband, William Earles; and her sister, Marjorie Hayes. She is survived by: her husband, Paul LaPaglia, Sr.; and her step-son Paul LaPaglia, Jr. of Mount Pleasant, Iowa.Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2004 at 11:00 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Pastor Kay Singley officiating. Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Davenport, Iowa on Monday, March 29, 2004. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2004 from 9:00 am till 11:00 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa.
