Geneva Risher's Obituary
Geneva Risher, age 88 of Mystic, Iowa passed into the care of our Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Centerville Nursing and Rehab Center in Centerville, Iowa.
Geneva was born November 15, 1921, the daughter of Ernest Edward Weston and Josephine (McBee) Weston. She was united in marriage to Clarence Risher on August 30, 1941, in Unionville, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 5, 1997. Geneva joined the Mystic Methodist Church on April 28, 1957.
Surviving are two sons, Lonnie and his wife Pat of Centerville, Iowa and Ronnie and his wife Cathy of Manchester, Missouri; four grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant daughter, Denise; brothers, Ernest, Lewis, Otis, Russell, Richard, John, Cecil, Donald and David; and a granddaughter, Lydia Faith Cox.
Geneva was a wonderful mother and very caring, giving person. She cherished her years of service while at St. Joseph's Hospital and the many friends she made and the lives she touched.
Funeral services will be held at 10AM Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Lange Funeral Home in Centerville with Pastor Terry Chapman officiating. Friends may call all day Wednesday with the family present from 5-7pm at the Lange Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery, Mystic. A memorial has been established to the Highland Cemetery and be left or mailed to the Lange Funeral Home. Condolences may be left at www.langefh.com
