Geneva Vivian Hall's Obituary
Geneva Vivian (Roberts) Hall, 99, of Corydon passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 while in the care of the thoughtful staff at Karen Acres Nursing Home in Urbandale. Geneva was born April 3, 1916 in Marion County, Iowa to Floyd & Bessie Roberts. She grew up in Marion County and was a 1934 graduate of Melcher High School. She married Kenneth Hall in 1935, a marriage that lasted until Kenneth's passing in 2006. In 1946 they purchased a farm near the small town of Sewal in Wayne County, Iowa, and lived there until they retired and moved to Corydon in 2004. Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Bernard and four siblings. She is survived by her son Howard (Ursula), three grandchildren, Michael (Janet), Martin (Tanya), Marla (Steve) Wiedenmann and six great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11:30 a.m., Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Thomas - Randolph Funeral Home in Corydon with Rev. James Buckhahn officiating, Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service starting at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Corydon Cemetery immediately following the service. Memorials may be given to Prairie Trails Museum of Wayne County or Karl Miles LeCompte Library in Corydon.
