Geneva S Chamblee's Obituary
Geneva Sue Chamblee, age 57, of Moravia, Iowa passed away on Saturday August 24, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.Geneva was born on May 13, 1956 in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Danny Bradford Sr and Janette Burks.She was united in marriage with James Chamblee on August 27, 1977 in Benton, Arkansas and to this union two children were born. The family moved to Appanoose county in 1989. Geneva had worked at the Centerville Walmart for 17 years, and most recently had been employed as a Department Manager. She was a member of the Lighthouse Church of The Nazarene. She enjoyed needlework, beading , knitting, crocheting, working in her floral garden and cherished the time she could spend with her family and especially the time she spent with her grandson Alex.Survivors include, her husband James of Moravia, Iowa, her daughter, Christina Laurson and her husband, Kristopher of Centerville, Iowa; a brother Dannie Bradford Jr. and his wife Debbie of Pennsylvania; three sisters, Kathy Pike and her husband, Marvin of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Annette Zabel and her husband, Miguel Laguana of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Tonya Wever of Texas, as well as her grandson Alex Laurson of Centerville, Iowa.She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Jeremy Chamblee in 1981 and her brother, David Bradford.Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday August 28, 2013 at Lighthouse Church of The Nazarene in Moravia with Pastor Terry Chapman officiating.
