Gene Arthur Dueling Obituary's Obituary
Gene Arthur Dueling, 67, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at the University of Iowa Hospitals. He was born April 8, 1945 at the Corydon Hospital to Ruby and Art Dueling and lived in Wayne County most of his life. He attended Log Chain Country School and Allerton High School. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran and served from 1967 - 1969. Gene enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as being a 'jack of all trades' working with all kinds of farm and heavy equipment and tree trimming. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby and Art Dueling, his wife Joy Dueling, daughter Jeanna Elaine Dueling, son Wesley Gene Dueling, and his brother Larry Dueling. Surviving him is his daughter, Kimberly Yoder of Centralia, Missouri, his brother Douglas Dueling and wife Keo, his nephews David and Darin Dueling and their families all of Des Moines, his step grandchildren T. J., David, and Michelle Alexander and his cousin Donald Ahrenkiel, as well as many friends in Allerton. Memorials may be given to the Allerton First Responders.
