Gary Hogg's Obituary
Gary Hogg, 78, of Cincinnati passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Gary was born in Leon, Iowa to Edward & Flossie (Carson) Hogg on January 15, 1939. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Saldana. To this union were seven kids: Gary Jr., Theresa, Tammy, Rosita, Jason, Bobby and Kenny. Gary worked construction for a time, he worked on a crew that built a portion of Interstate 80. He was also employed by Jeff Scott Metals in Centerville. Gary enjoyed fishing, camping, watching westerns and sitting out on his front porch, drinking a beer or having a chew while watching the cars pass. Survivors include seven children: Gary Hogg Jr. (Debbie) of Springfield, Missouri, Theresa Davis (Bob) of Centerville, Tammy Hilpipre (Brad) of Blue Earth, Minnesota., Rosita Simmons (Marvin) of Roberts, Montana, Jason Hogg of Centerville, Bobby Hogg (Amber) of Joliet, Montana, Kenny Hogg (Tony) of Springfield, Missouri, 25 grandkids, 23 great grandkids, daughter-in-law, Nancy Gray and his significant other Sherry Oden of Cincinnati. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn, four siblings: Audrey Hogg, Oney Hogg, Ned Hogg, Howard Hogg and a granddaughter, Danielle Stroud. Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, September 29, 2017 at Thomas Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Thomas Funeral Home with the family present from 5-7 p.m. Memorials may be given to the family and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com.
