Gary Henshaw's Obituary
Gary Henshaw, 77 of Centerville passed away Friday, July 16, 2021 at Mercy One in Centerville.
Gary was born to Harold & Myrna (Moore) Henshaw on November 17, 1943 in Udell, Iowa. He received his education from Centerville Schools. Gary was united in marriage to Sharon Doll on June 26, 1965 at Calvary Baptist Church. To this union were two children: Max and Clarissia.
Gary served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Navy Corps. After service, he worked numerous jobs through his life, from driving trucks to working at the plants in Centerville. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, cutting wood, going to auctions, driving semi, attending family reunions and socializing with family and friends.
Survivors include his children: Max Henshaw (Tina), Clarissia Henshaw - Thomas (Randon), grandchildren: Ryan Henshaw, Larissia Thomas, sister, Evelyne Gardner and numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sharon, siblings: Jerry Henshaw, Deloris Ballanger and an infant brother.
Funeral service will be 10:30 am, Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Visitation will be Monday, July 26, 2021 at Thomas Funeral Home with family present from 5-7 pm.
