Garold Sheehan's Obituary
Garold B. Sheehan, 77, of Allerton, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Chariton Specialty Care. Garold was born on June 27, 1939 in Unionville, Missouri to George & Mary Ann (Harmon) Sheehan. He received his education from Unionville High School, graduating in 1957. After high school, Garold took a job in Unionville delivering milk to the Allerton Milk Plant. After a few years, Garold was hired on at the Allerton Milk Plant where he would work his way up to supervisor. Garold was employed by Allerton Milk Plant for 41 years before retiring in 2001. On May 20, 1960, Garold was united in marriage to Marjorie Hart in Corydon. He enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout most of his life. Garold always had a garden he enjoyed working in. Garold was an avid KC Chiefs fan and also followed the Missouri Tigers Football team religiously. He would attend a MIZZOU game every year until his health would no longer allow. He and Marjorie would take trips to Branson and enjoyed watching the shows. Of all things Garold loved, his family came first. He enjoyed time spent with them, especially attending his grandkids activities. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Marjorie of Allerton, daughter, Monica Fogelson (Mike) of Smithville, MO., grandchildren: Miles Fogelson of Cedar Falls, IA, Megan Fogelson of Sunrise Beach, MO., six siblings: Billy Dean Sheehan (Ruth Elaine) of Altoona, IA, Shirley Myers (Robert), Ruth Jean Milner (Glenn), Margaret Salisbury (Darl), Melvin Sheehan (Elnora), Dennie Sheehan (Barbara) and brother-in-law Donald Butler, all of Unionville, MO. and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two siblings: Opal Butler, Ralph Lee Sheehan, father and mother-in-law, John & Ruby Hart, son-in-law, Brent Neese and sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Sheehan. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Thomas-Randolph Funeral Home in Allerton. Interment will follow at Allerton Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to either Allerton First Responders or Allerton Fire Dept. and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com.
