Garnet Replogle's Obituary
Garnet Replogle, 98 years young went to her home in Heaven on November 3, 2016 with her family by her side, at her son's home in Rockford, Illinois. Garnet was born to Finis E. & Lala (VanHorn) Burton on October 28, 1918 in Bloomfield, Iowa. Garnet was united in marriage to Arthur Replogle on February 16, 1936 in Lancaster, Missouri. To this union were four children, Keith, Helen, James and Janie. She worked for the Green Thumb of Iowa for 17 years as the area leader. Garnet along with Erca and Bessie Kirby established the Crossline Center in Moulton, Iowa. She served as President of the Crossline Center until 2015 when she moved to Rockford to live with her son. Garnet was a member of the Moulton Christian Church. She was baptized in 1931 and also served as an elder for many years. Garnet was a member of Rebekah's, Royal Neighbors, Moulton Historical Society, Moulton Lioness, Moulton Library, Community Betterment and the Moulton Chamber of Commerce. Garnet devoted her life to her family, church and the community of Moulton. Survivors include son, Keith (Grace) Replogle, daughter, Helen (Jerry) Davis, son-in-law, Charles McGoldrick, daughter-in-law, Joann Replogle and a special niece Phyllis Fowler. Grandchildren; Jerry Dean (Sue) Davis, Jack (JoEllen) Replogle, John (Mandy) Replogle, Teresa (Kirt) Adams, Terry (Lisa) McGoldrick, Tim (Shannon) McGoldrick, Keith (Debra) Replogle, Gwen (Tim) Lenz, Barbara (Dave) Barrie, 22 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arthur Replogle, son, James Replogle, daughter, Janie McGoldrick, brothers: Farris, Guy, Glenn, Gale, Grant and sisters, Geneva, Gertrude, Gladys and Grace. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Thomas Funeral Home in Moulton. There will be a Rebekah memorial ceremony included. Interment will immediately follow at Sunset View Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2016 at Thomas Funeral Home in Moulton with the family present from 5-7 p.m..
