Gail Duane Pangburn's Obituary
Gail Duane Pangburn, age 80, of Moulton, Iowa, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at Goshen General Hospital in Goshen, Indiana. He was born the son of Alvin and Georgia (Miller) Pangburn on June 25, 1923 in Mystic, Iowa. Gail received his education in Mystic Community Schools.On March 20, 1946, Gail was united in marriage to Florence Reed in Norton, Kansas. They were later divorced. During his lifetime, he served his country in World War II during the occupation of Japan in 1946, then worked at Penn Controls in Goshen, Indiana and later at McGraw-Edison in Centerville, Iowa.Gail was preceded in death by: his parents; a son, Robert C. Pangburn in 1991; a great granddaughter, Amaya Melissa Fowler; and two sisters, Enid Duley and Mary Bradley.He is survived by: four sons, Calvin D. Pangburn of Laurie, Missouri, James G. Pangburn of Bristol, Indiana, Edward R. Pangburn of Palisade, Colorado, and Terry L. Pangburn of Syracuse, Indiana; two daughters, Sandra E. Fowler of Bloomfield, Iowa and Marshiela M. Pangburn of Grand Junction, Colorado; one brother, Willis (Jack) Pangburn of Goshen, Indiana; one sister, Melissa (Fern) Thoren of Solon, Iowa; as well as 19 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.The body will be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2004 at 1:00 PM at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton, Iowa. Rev. Jerry Weller will be officiating.
