Gail was the first born and I was the second born. So we had only each other for 2 years. I remember when we lived out west off of Route 34 where Gail first started to school. Mother and I walked to school with her with Mother carrying Lucy. Later, I started to school when we lived off the Lake Wapello Road and Gail and I walked together. Later, we walked up and over a large hill when we attended Bear Creek School. We attended a lot of different schools!Skipping ahead to Gail's teenage years, I remember she was quite popular. A few times she was nominated for Queen of the various school events and attended as one of the Princesses. She had a lot of boyfriends and was good enough to take me along on some of her car dates to the drive-in, lake, etc. Of course this might have been our parent's idea, not Gail's!Later we didn't have much contact as we lived in different parts of the USA. But she and her family did visit with me when I lived in the Los Angeles area; and I visited Gail and her family in Las Vegas. We danced together at the Red Lion once while cousin Don Blew and his sons were playing.Gail had a rather stressful life the last few years with her health problems, so we hope she is in a better place now.Howard Leo Brewer
