Freda Brinegar's Obituary
Freda Brinegar, age 81, of Centerville, Iowa, died Sunday, March 1, 2009 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Claude P. and Wilma L. (Carr) Brinegar on September 20, 1927 near Unionville, Iowa. She graduated from the Moulton School at Moulton, Iowa in 1945.Freda worked for over 7 years for the Scotts Dime Store in Centerville, Iowa and later would spend over 23 years working for Iowa Southern Utilities in the Payroll Department in Centerville. She was a member of Fairview Church of the Brethren near Unionville, Iowa.She is preceded in death by: her parents; step-father, Clifford Ogden; brothers, Neal and Earl Brinegar; sister, Felicia Eby; and a nephew, Tommie Brinegar.Freda is survived by: a brother, Robert S. Brinegar and his wife, Wilma; thirteen nieces and nephews; thirty great nieces and nephews; as well as nineteen great great nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Beverly Brinegar of Udell, Iowa and Mildred McHargue of Moulton, Iowa.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 1 pm at the Fairview Church of the Brethren near Unionville, Iowa with Rev. Carl Heien officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 from 1 pm till 8 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with the family present from 6 pm till 8 pm at the funeral home.Memorials can be made to the Fairview Cemetery and left at the funeral home.
