Franklin Glen Hanes' Obituary
Franklin Glen Hanes, 84 of Bloomfield passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at Davis County Hospital.
Glen was born to Lewis & Hilda (Worrell) Hanes on May 6, 1937 in Blakesburg, Iowa. Glen received his education from Moulton High School, graduating in 1955. On Aug 6, 1961, Glen was united in marriage to LaDonna Horn and to this union came two children: Lance and Russell.
Glen was a lifelong farmer and also worked for Mahaska Farm Service. He enjoyed taking care of his black cattle and when younger, enjoyed his horses. Glen loved time spent with his family and friends and was always ready to sit down and watch a good western show. Glen attended the Drakesville United Methodist Church for a time.
Survivors include his wife, LaDonna, sons: Lance Hanes, Russell Hanes, sister, Helen Brown, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Carl "LeVaughn" Hanes and another infant brother.
Visitation will take place from 2-7 pm, Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Thomas Funeral Home in Moulton with family present from 5-7 pm. Interment will be private at Drakesville Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Good Samaritan Society Hospice and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com or facebook.com/thomasfuneralhome.
