Frank Caraccio's Obituary
Frank Caraccio, age 75, of Centerville, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at his home in Centerville.
Frank was born on January 23, 1946 in Centerville, Iowa, the son of Tony Caraccio and Ann "Nanny" (Miller) Caraccio. He attended Centerville schools. Frank was united in marriage to Vickie Lee Mattly in 1992 in Las Vegas, NV.
Frank was a jack of all trades, master of everything (his mind only), husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Centerville, Iowa.
Frank was a long-time flooring installer and business owner. He owned numerous businesses throughout the years, from bars to furniture stores and a restaurant. Frank and Vickie opened Factory Direct Carpet (Carpet Outlet) on the levee in 1996.
Frank loved taking trips with his wife, Vickie and his friend, Paul. Frank was an avid poker player, winning two poker tournaments on a trip to Las Vegas in 2020. He loved attending his grandchildrens events, especially Sofias dance/softball and Frankies baseball/wrestling. Frank would love to sit behind home plate or close to the mat and heckle the ump/ref if they made a bad call against the kids. He loved to argue, even if he was wrong. Vickie and Tony would just shake their heads as they knew arguing with him was like arguing with the wall. Frank enjoyed spending most evenings at the dinner table with his grandchildren, Sofia, Frankie and great-grandson, Luca.
Left to honor Frank are his wife, Vickie; son, Antonio (Moriah) Caraccio of Centerville, IA; daughter, Jamie (Michael ) Jolley of Manchester, IA; son, Philip (Carla) Pickering of Altoona, IA; grandson, Devin (Lexi) Caraccio; sister-in-law, Karen Caraccio of West Des Moines; best friend, Paul Saldana of Centerville, IA; numerous grandchildren, Sofia, Frankie, Kaylea, Grace, Audrey, Luke, Ryan, Zack, Hayden, Treyton, Landyn, Dylan, Michael, and Kimberly; a great-grandson, Luca; as well as several extended family members.
