Frank Everett Belloma's Obituary
Frank Everett Belloma, age 83, of Centerville, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Frank was born on February 4, 1942 in Centerville, Iowa, the son of Benjamin and Hazel (Tipton) Belloma. He graduated from Centerville High School with the Class of 1960. On September 16, 1961, Frank was united in marriage to Norma Jean Kauzlarich. To this union, three children were born, Lori, Michael and Mark.
Frank was a jack of all trades and a great entrepreneur. He worked for the Belloma family with the trucking company and their construction company. He also worked for Culligan, was a maintenance worker for Shamrock Apartments, and lastly, a property inspector for the City of Centerville.
Frank was a long-time member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville. He was also a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He was very active in the church, where he was a cantor for 21 years.
In his free time, Frank enjoyed cross stitch, cooking, singing, hunting with his sons, golfing, bowling, and spending time with his family and friends. He was also a great jokester and story teller.
Left to honor Frank's memory are his wife of over 63 years, Norma Belloma; his children, Lori (Lou) Ortiz, Michael (Carol) Belloma, and Mark (Jana) Belloma; his grandchildren, Jamie (Randy) McDanolds, Kassie (John) Waits, Sarah (Nick) Moorman, Emily (Luke) MacDonald, Adam Belloma, Jacob Belloma, Hope (Dakota) Susin, Grant (Malinda) Hancox, Lane Belloma and Brady Belloma; great grandchildren, Ryan, Jameson, Brogan, Macey and Tamey McDanolds, Evelyn Kora, Ezekiel Waits, John and Abraham Moorman, Haylee Brown and Turner Susin; his sister, Lucy Varese; his sister-in-law, Norma Belloma; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Hazel Belloma; grandparents, Loy and Cecil Tipton, Frank and Lucy Belloma; his brother, Dean Belloma; and a nephew, Matt Varese.
Funeral services for Frank will be held at 10:30AM Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville. Burial will follow the service at Oakland Cemetery in Centerville, Iowa. Visitation will take place Monday, March 17, 2025 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville with the family greeting friends from 5:00-7:00PM.
