Frances Herndon's Obituary
Frances Bevan was born March 4, 1912 in Grundy County, Missouri and moved with her family, parents Glen and Blanche Bevan and six sisters to Tindall, Missouri where she and her sisters attended school. Richard Herndon also attended school there and they were later married in December 1932 and started their life together. In 1933, they moved to Centerville where son Jim and daughter Marilyn were born. Richard was in the produce business for many years and in 1940 he and brother-in-law Kenneth Duncan started their own produce in Corydon where the family took permanent residence. Frances, a tough survivor who let no illness slow her down for long, worked at Neely Manufacturing for a number of years after Richard's death in December 1969. She attended the Corydon Christian Church as long as she was able. Frances' two surviving sisters, Bernadine Allen and Evelyn Pazan, live in Arizona, daughter Marilyn Wilson and husband Ron Wilson live near Corydon, son Jim and his wife, the former Donna Sullivan, live in Magalia, California, granddaughter Vicki Kallick lives in Danville, California, granddaughter Lisa and husband Dennis Winn live in Santa Clara, California and great grandchildren Joseph Dircks, Katie Kallick and Andy Kallick live in Danville, California.
