Frances Frank Clupny's Obituary
Francis (Frank) David Clupny Sr, age 89 of Centerville, Iowa, formerly of Oshkosh, Nebraska, passed away Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Long Term Care unit Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.
He was born to John and Christine (Parker) Clupny on May 16, 1924 in Wichita, Kansas. After the death of his father, Frank was raised in Boys Town Nebraska.
Frank enjoyed John Deere Tractors, Steam Locomotives and western movies. He would sit and watch westerns all day. Most importantly, Frank enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends.
After leaving Boys Town, he moved to western Nebraska in the 1950's, working in farming and the oil fields. He also worked for Cabela's in Sydney, and Oshkosh, Nebraska.
In 1960 he married Marie (Olsen) Clupny and then moved to eastern Wyoming. To this union, two children were born, Elizabeth Clupny (deceased) and Francis David Clupny.
In November of 2005 Frank and Marie relocated to Centerville, Iowa for health reasons and to be closer to their son and his family.
Frank is survived by his wife of fifty three years, Marie Clupny; a son Francis (Tammie) Clupny; and a granddaughter, Madison Clupny all of Centerville, Iowa; three sisters, Philomene Engelhardt, Margaret English, and Sylvia (Bob) Knowlton; a brother, Lewis Clupny; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jon and Christine Clupny; four brothers, John, Charles, Joe, and Robert Clupny; and sister Cecilia (Clupny) Fles.
