Frances Virginia Cameron's Obituary
Frances Virginia Cameron, age 98, of Corydon, was accepted in to the loving arms of Jesus on January 22, 2017. Frances was born in Waterloo, Iowa on November 9, 1918 to Earl and Nellie Tyler. She attended Waterloo West High School. Frances was united in marriage to Herbert Steele Cameron on February 27, 1939. To this union came one daughter, Sandra. Frances loved gardening, horses, traveling in the family motorhome and collecting stuffed animals. Frances is survived by her daughter, Sandra Trower (Vernon) of Allerton, grandchildren; Jon Michael Trower (Sherry) of Corydon, Ronald Jay Trower (Becky) of Grand River, Kimberly Ann Crawford (Rick) of Corydon, Lori Lynn Jackson (Tony) of Derby, sisters; Patty Zerba (Lawrence), Peggy Fry, and Dixie Eschen (John) all of Independence, 11 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren. Frances was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Cameron, brothers; Ronald Tyler, Joe Tyler, Kenny Tyler, Bob Tyler, Leonard Tyler and sister, Charlotte Schwartz. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon with Diane Olson Schroeder officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon. Another funeral service will take place, 1:30 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2017 at First United Methodist Church in Independence, Iowa and Interment will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence, Iowa. Memorials may be given to New Zion United Methodist Church and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com.
