FLOYD GREEN Floyd Green, son of Nelma and Ralph Green, was born near Promise City, Iowa on June 30, 1941 and passed away at the Mercy Medical Center in Centerville, Iowa on February 5, 2015 at the age of 73 years, 7 months, and 5 days. He married Dwala Wilson on June 12, 1960 at the Seymour Baptist Church in Seymour. Four children were born to this union. In 1964 he was baptized in the Baptist Chapel in Davenport, Iowa. Floyd worked over 30 years for several railroads. He retired from the Iowa Interstate in 2001. He and his family lived in Denver, Colorado for 18 years and returned to Seymour in 1989. He enjoyed fishing and sports. Floyd loved his family very much and treasured the time he spent with them. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Melvin. Floyd is survived by his wife Dwala of Seymour and his four children, Melvin (Lisa) Green of Centerville, Laura (Gary) King of Scranton, Kansas, Chris Green also of Scranton, Kansas, and Randy (Amber) Green of St. Joseph, Missouri, several grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Other survivors include his sister Leta (Ted) Beavers of Moline, Illinois, three brothers, Max (Pam) Green of Princeton, Kansas, Jim (Linda) Green of Tempe, Arizona and Phillip Green of Wenoka, Oklahoma, and several nieces and nephews.
