Fernand Charles' Obituary
Fernand Charles, age 90 of Mystic, Iowa died Thursday, March 29, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. He was born the son of Arthur and Octavie (Derliquie) Charles on July 15, 1916 in Mystic, Iowa. He received his education in the Mystic Community Schools in Mystic, Iowa.On July 25, 1953, Fernand was united in marriage to Aileen Lewis in Centerville, Iowa. We worked in a CCC Camp near Des Moines, Iowa for several years and also worked in the Sunshine Coal Mine near Mystic, Iowa for many years.He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Arthur and John Charles; half-sister, Jeanette Stepnoski.Fernand was survived by: his wife, Aileen Charles of Mystic, Iowa; step-son, Dennis Lewis and his wife, Ramona of Lincoln, Nebraska; step-grandchildren, Melissa Nuss and Clay Lewis; one step great grandson, Landon Nuss; niece, Jeannine Taylor and her husband, Bill of Dyer, Indiana; nephews, Joseph Stepnoski and his wife, Donna of Crown Point, Indiana, Nick Stepnoski and his wife, Diane of Dyer, Indiana and Dennis Stepnoski of Hammond, Indiana.Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, April 2, 2007 at 11 am at the Highland Cemetery near Mystic, Iowa with Rev. Gerald Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery.
