Fay Green's Obituary
Fay Green, 89, of Corydon passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Corydon Specialty Care. Fay was born to Mike & Ida (Duncan) Nickel on September 26, 1928 in Corydon, Iowa. Faye was united in marriage to Earl Green on November 3, 1948 and to this union three children were born: Leona Jean, Betty Ann and Raymond Eugene. Fay was a farm wife for the majority of her life. She helped Earl do the chores and raised their children. She was a member of the Post 68 Ladies Auxiliary. Fay enjoyed working on the farm, baking cookies, crocheting and time spent with her family. Survivors include three children: Jean Petty (Carl), Betty Arnold (Duane), Raymond Green (Teresa), nine grandchildren: Rusty Petty (Jamie), Bobby Petty (Jennifer), Lisa Arnold, Sara Bethards (Brad), Kala Wiltamuth (James), Justin Green, Amber Lane, Austin Green, Alyssa Green, 18 great grandchildren and numerous extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl, parents, siblings: Ruby Darrah, George Nickel and May Hougue. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon with Rev. Harold Mitchell officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Confidence Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, June 1, 2018 at Thomas Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Confidence Cemetery or Sunnyslope Church and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com.
