Evelyn Crowell, age 90, of Centerville, Iowa, died Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center's - Long Term Care in Centerville. She was born the daughter of Earnest A. and Minnie C. (Peterson) Arvidson on April 27, 1917 in Centerville, Iowa. She graduated from the Centerville Community Schools. On August 30, 1941, Evelyn was united in marriage to Leon 'Tiny' Crowell in Kirksville, Missouri. She was a homemaker and a member of Drake Ave Christian Church in Centerville.She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Leon 'Tiny' Crowell on October 9, 1997; sons, Arthur Crowell and John Crowell on January 30, 2007.Evelyn is survived by: her grandchildren, Jeff and his wife, Jill Crowell of Glendora, California, Shane and his wife, Christa Crowell of LaVerne, California and Wendy and her husband, Joe Williamson of Yucaipa, California; great grandchildren, McKenna and Riley Jean Williamson, Nicholes, Amanda, Ashley, Ryan and Tyler Crowell.Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at the Oakland Cemetery in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Carl Heien officiating. Burial will follow the services. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 9 am till the time of services at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville.Memorials can be made in her name to Mercy Hospice or Mercy Medical Center's Long Term Care and can be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
