Eva Maye Wright, 83 of Centerville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 13, 2008 at her home. Eva was born to Clarence & Grace (Kingery) Irelan on May 13, 1924 in Blakesburg, Iowa. She graduated from Moravia High School in 1941. After graduating she taught school until her marriage to Oliver Wright on August 6, 1944 in Drakesville, Iowa. Eva was a member of the Unionville Baptist Church in Unionville, Iowa. She enjoyed reading (especially reading her Bible), making homemade ice cream, baking bread and time spent with her family. Eva is survived by six children; Ollie Wright(Janet) of Albia, Marvin Wright(Jewell) of Uganda, East Africa, Vera Byard(Mack) of Elk Falls, KS, Ken Wright(Irma) of El Paso, TX, Stan Wright(Rose) of West Des Moines, Nancy Wright of Centerville, 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters; Arlene Jarvis of Centerville, Ruth Arndt(Tom) of Westville, IN, four brothers; Carl Irelan(Ruth) of Valparaiso, IN, Glenn Irelan of Wheatfield, IN, Max Irelan(Lois) of Statesboro, GA and Joe Irelan(Betty) of Kouts, IN, She was preceded in death by her husband Oliver Wright on November 1, 1999, four sons; Phil Wright, Leslie Wright, Harold Wright, Curtis Wright and a grandson, Gregory Wright. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 19th at Unionville Baptist Church in Unionville, Iowa with Pastor Jesse Hill officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery near Unionville. Memorials may be given to the Unionville Baptist Church or to the family which will be used for the Mission Work Project in Uganda, East Africa.
