Eugene Everett Smith's Obituary
Eugene 'Gene' Everett Smith, age 84, of Moulton, Iowa, died Saturday, January 19, 2013 at his daughter's home near Moulton. He was born the son of Henry Ellior and Elizabeth Barbara (Angell) Smith on September 15, 1928 in New Haven, Connecticut. He recieved his education while living in Massachusetts. He was united in marriage to Jean A. Jakobsen on September 24, 1948 in Massachusetts. He owned and operated his own steel companies and worked for Pan-A-Vision as Production Control movie camera lenses. Later after moving to Moulton area, began making custom guns at Moderan Muzzleloader, then worked for Tek Builders in Mt. Ayre, Iowa in road construction for 10 years. He loved riding his motorcycle all over the country.He was preceded in death by: his parents and a brother, Henry Smith.Gene was survivied by: his daughter, Marilyn Horn and her husband, Dale of Moulton, Iowa; a son, Bernie E. Smith and his wife, Mitzi of Wrightwood, California; grandsons, James Driscoll of Nixa, Missouri and Reno Dean Smith of Wrightwood, California.Per Gene's wish, his body has been cremated and no services are planned at this time.
