Eugene Moorman's Obituary
Eugene L. Moorman, 79, of Allerton passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Wayne County Hospital. Eugene was born to Rudolph and Katherine (Krum) Moorman on July 28, 1935 in Centerville, Iowa. He received his education from Mystic. He married Barbara Vestal in Centerville, Iowa. Together they had and raised six children. Eugene worked in the coal mines, but spent the majority of his career as a pipefitter. Eugene enjoyed fishing and hunting, studying his Bible and time spent with family and friends. He was known lovingly as "The Candyman" by his grandchildren, because he always had a large supply of candy for them at his house. Eugene also spent free time playing Bingo at Terribles in Oceola. Eugene is survived by three children: Ronald L. Moorman of Allerton, Debra Richards (Ken) of Moravia and Terry R. Moorman of Allerton, daughter in law, Crystal Moorman of Allerton, eleven grandchildren, twenty five Great Grandchildren, one Great Great Grandchild, four brothers; Fred Moorman (JoAnn) of Mystic, John Moorman (Joann) of Mystic, Bill Moorman (Mary Beth) of Mystic and Clyde Moorman (Anne) of CA and one sister, Annabelle Padovich (Larry) of Ottumwa. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Barbara, three sons; Rudolph, Kenneth and Herbert "Herbie" Moorman, brother, Roy Moorman and sister in law, Diane Moorman.
