Ethel Leona Henderson's Obituary
Ethel Leona (Hatfield) Henderson, age 88, formerly of Exline, Iowa, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the Panora Specialty Care in Panora, Iowa.
Ethel was born on July 17, 1931 in Exline, Iowa, the daughter of Jasper and LaVivian (McFarland) Hatfield. She graduated from Exline High School. Ethel was united in marriage to John W. Henderson Sr. on July 13, 1949 in Moulton, Iowa. To this union, two children were born, John and Vivian.
Left to cherish Ethels memory are her children, John W. (Cathy) Henderson Jr. of Minburn, Iowa, and Vivian (Dave) Clark of King City, Missouri; a brother, Murl (Marjorie) Hatfield of Carlisle, Iowa; a sister in law, Donna Hatfield; seven grandchildren, David Kaster Jr., Denise (Kevin) Harris, John Thomas (Lisa) Henderson, Karen (Jacob) Smith, Mark Clark, Kim Clark, and Chad Clark; ten great grandchildren, Missy (Matthew) Kurtz, Meggan Kaster (Fiance, Christopher Grenke), John David Henderson, Oliver Henderson, Charlotte Henderson, Alana Harris, Taylor Baldwin, Tyler Clark, Ethan Baldwin, and Henry Clark; and two great great grandchildren, Robbie Kurtz and Andrew Grenko.
Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Henderson Sr.; her parents, Jasper and LaVivian Hatfield; and four siblings, Lester Hatfield, Vera (Harold) Regnier, Kenneth (Ann) Hatfield, and Olive Hatfield.
Per Ethels wishes, cremation has been accorded and private graveside services will be held. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to staff resources at Panora Specialty Care and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544. Condolences may be shared online at www.langefh.com. Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville has been entrusted with caring for the family.
