Estelle Marjorie Johnson's Obituary
Estelle Marjorie Johnson, age 85, of Centerville, Iowa, died Saturday, July 24, 2004, at Centerville Nursing & Rehab Center in Centerville. She was born the daughter of John L. and Daisy (Frohawk) Goetz on October 9, 1918 in Oran, Missouri. She received her education at the Boardman Country School near Oran, Missouri.On March 15, 1941, Estelle was united in marriage to William Robert Johnson in Scott County, Missouri. She as a homemaker and farmed with her husband. She loved to fish, garden, travel, sew and loved her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, Lester, Frank, Cletus and R.C. Goetz; sisters, Katherine Dirickson, Niva Williams and Fern McCain.Surviving her death are: her husband, William Johnson of Centerville, Iowa; daughter, Norma Jean and her husband, Dan Clark of Centerville and son, Bill and his wife, Linda Johnson also of Centerville; sister, Lila Foote of Sikeston, Missouri; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at 10 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Kay Singley officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. Public visitation will be held on Monday, July 26, 2004 from 2 till 8 pm with the family present from 5 till 7 pm at the funeral home.
