Esta Lee Wolf's Obituary
Esta Lee Norman Wolf, daughter of Clifford and Eugenia Norman passed away peacefully from complications of heart disease on April 2, 2017, at The Village in Indianola, Iowa at the age of 92. Esta Lee was born February 13th, 1925, in Leon, Iowa. She graduated from Corydon High School in 1942. She graduated from Iowa State University in 1946. She then took a job at a Polish settlement house in Chicago Illinois teaching young children. She married Robert Wolf on October 25, 1947. This union was blessed with a daughter Julia and son John. Esta Lee joined Bob in business at the Wolf Funeral Home in Corydon, Iowa where they were in business together for 35 years. They also owned and operated Wolf Furniture Company and the Ben Franklin Store in Corydon. They retired and sold the funeral home business in 1986. She played the organ at the Corydon First Christian Church for many years. She was a member of the Corydon P.E.O., O.N.O. club, and afternoon and evening bridge clubs. Esta Lee enjoyed playing golf and tennis in her younger years. Esta Lee is survived by; son John and wife Terie of Indianola and their daughter Madison, grandchildren Jeff Johnson and wife Sarah of Denton, Texas and Jennifer Johnson of Springfield, Missouri and four great grandchildren, Meryl, Maggie, Savannah and Kennedy and cousin Gary Oliver of Phoenix, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, daughter Julia and her parents. Funeral service will be Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon. Interment will immediately follow at the Corydon Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon.
