Ernest Daniels, 75 of Centerville passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Centerville Nursing and Rehab. Ernie was born to Walter and Wilma (Fry) Daniels on February 5, 1934 in Centerville. He received his education from Centerville High School in 1952. Ernie married Willa Manning on July 5, 1953, they would later divorce. He was a farmer and operated heavy machinery for many years. Ernie enjoyed attending Flea Markets, running his dozer, music, dancing and time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and President of the Sharon Chapel Cemetery Association. Ernie is survived by his wife of 17 years, Jennie Daniels of Centerville, daughter, Crystal Smith(Bill) of Centerville, son, Bryan Daniels(Laura) of Exline, daughter, Tina Zugg(Jim) of Centerville, seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, three step-children, Jerry Dickey(Linda), Bill Dickey(Joanne), Kenny Dickey(Carol), two sisters; Edith Hull of Centerville, Ellen Daniels of Des Moines and a brother Walter 'Roscoe' Daniels of Kirksville, Missouri. He was preceded in death by a son Ernest Blaine Daniels, granddaughter, April Daniels and a sister Helen Walden. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Chapman officiating. Visitation will be all day Friday with the family present from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be in Sharon Chapel Cemetery.
