Ernest Franklin Collis' Obituary
Ernest "Frank" Franklin Collis, 60 of Seymour, Iowa passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022 at his home.
Frank was born on December 10, 1961 to Richard and Maryanna (Rude) Collis in Kirksville, Missouri. Frank obtained his GED and would later graduate from IHCC's drafting program. Frank was united in marriage to Susan Johnson on June 13, 1983. They would later divorce and on March 18, 2000; Frank was again united in marriage to Katharine Rick.
Frank worked for McCabe Scrap Iron for approximately 14 years, until the company closed. He also worked at Tom's Tree Service in Albia, Iowa.
Frank enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, doing lawn work and sitting outside. He was a little on the ornery side, and enjoyed that behavior with his many grandkids. Frank also loved having cookouts with his family.
Survivors include his wife; Kathy Collis, children; Gary Collis (Megan), Aaron Collis (Amber), Jake Agan (Darian), Mike Agan, Susan Vilvens (Lindsey), Tanya Vandepol, 15 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, siblings; Anna Edwards (Larry), Norma Shepard, Melvin Collis, Richard Collis Jr. (Laura), Cathy Sindelor (Carl) and numerous extended family. He was preceded by his parents, daughters: Stacy Collis and Patience Hurley
A Celebration of Life will be held 12:00 - 5:00 pm, Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the Seymour Community Center. Memorials may be given to the family and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com or facebook.com/thomasfuneralhome.
