Eric Davis' Obituary
Eric Davis, loving husband and father passed away Saturday, July 27, 2024 after illness took his body.
Eric was born on January 21, 1948 in Centerville, Iowa, the son of Delbert and Nelma (McGrann) Davis. When his father got transferred to Japan, the family moved with him. They lived in Sagamihara and Yokohama, before returning home in the mid 60's. Eric maintained these friends he made until his passing. Upon returning to the states, Eric graduated from Centerville High School. He furthered his education at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, earning his bachelor's degree. He was united in marriage to Jeannie Robbins, and to this union, a son was born, Jeremy.
Early in his career, Eric utilized his college degree in journalism, working for various radio and TV stations, both in Iowa and Missouri. He then worked as a broker for Koch Refining. He enjoyed his lengthy career and retired from the energy business in 2010.Upon retirement, Eric enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his wife Jeannie at their home on the Lake of the Ozarks.
Left to honor Eric's memory are his wife, Jeannie Robbins; his son, Jeremy Davis; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.
Eric was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert Davis in 1966 and Nelma (Davis) Fuller in 2011.
Per wishes, cremation has been accorded. A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM, Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Highland Cemetery in Mystic, Iowa.
