Emogene Rissler's Obituary
Emogene Rissler, 97 of Centerville, passed away at Homestead of Centerville on August 16, 2020. Emogene Wilma Head was born on February 16, 1924 to William and Mary Marie (Holmes) Head in Confidence, Iowa. Emogene graduated from Millerton High School in Millerton, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Wayne Rissler on March 29, 1941 and to this union, a daughter, Patricia, was born. Emogene was know throughout her life as being generous, caring and kind, as well as spunky. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren loved it when she would join them to fish, and she was never afraid to get her hands dirty. She enjoyed sending cards and gifts to the elderly who were shut in and needed a little extra sunshine to brighten their days. So many knew Emogene as a sweet woman who cared for and loved everyone she met. Emogene is survived by her daughter, Patricia Hemme, grandsons Nick Garvey (Jessica), Todd Trautvetter (Shawna), and Shane Trautvetter (Sherry), 9 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Donna Pelz. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Marriett, Earl, William and Everett Head, and siters Juanita McMurry and LaVada Nail.
