Emma McMahon's Obituary
Emma McMahon, age 2 of Centerville, Iowa passed away Monday, January 12, 2015.
She was born in Mount Pleasant, Iowa on October 27, 2012, the daughter of Jeremy and Cheryl (Broshar) McMahon. Emma enjoyed playing outdoors, especially in the timber. She loved to dance and sing. She also enjoyed the opportunity to call family members on the phone. Moreover, Emma loved anything related to Minnie Mouse-Minnie was her favorite.
Emma always shined so brightly, so full of life with a beautiful smile. She left a powerful legacy for her family to carry on into the future.
She is survived by her parents, Jeremy (Cheryl) McMahon of Centerville, Iowa; four siblings, Caely Lautz, Marly McMahon, Urijha McMahon and Alexis McMahon; great, great grandparents, Everette (Doris) Taylor of Mount Union, Iowa; great grandparents, David (Diana) Weigert of New London, Iowa and great grandmother, Nilsia Conte De Valdes of Panama; Paternal grandparents, Lance (Charie) McMahon of Centerville, Iowa; maternal grandparents, Robert (Edna) Broshar of Centerville, Iowa; two uncles, Levi McMahon and Chris (Joni) Broshar; and two aunts, Jessica Hollenbeck and Marla (Kent) Morlan.
Emma was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Max and Fern Broshar; a great grandfather, Fernando Valdes; a great uncle, Fernando Valdes Conte; and an aunt, Hope Weigert.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville with Rev. Brian Hargrave officiating. Interment will follow in the Dale Cemetery, north of Centerville. A visitation will be held on Friday at Lange Funeral Home, with the family greeting friends from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the family of Emma McMahon and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
