Elwin "Red" Sellers' Obituary
Elwin (Red) Charles Sellers, 84 of Corydon passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Circle of Life Hospice - Legacy Lodge in Chariton. Elwin was born to Roy & Gladys Ruth Sellers on June 27, 1930 in Ft. Collins, Colorado. Elwin was a veteran of the United States Army Corps serving during the Korean War. On November 14th, 1953, Elwin was united in marriage to Janice Marie Marshall in Des Moines, Iowa. To this union a son Roger Sellers was born. Elwin was a farmer throughout his life. He enjoyed working with his hands in God's green pasture. Elwin would be considered a jack of all trades, he was constantly wrenching on a car/truck or a tractor. He was also fortunate to have some carpentry skills, there wasn't much Elwin couldn't fix. He enjoyed going to the Cambria store and playing cards with his friends and spending time with his family. Elwin was a member of the Humeston American Legion Post #0306 Alva F. Eaton and the Humeston VFW. Survivors include his son, Roger Sellers (Diana) of Boone, two grandsons: Eric and Jason Sellers of Boone, sister, Carol Feyen (Ray) of Ft. Worth, TX and cousins and nieces. He was preceded in death by his wife Janice Marie Sellers and a sister Wilma. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Cambria Cemetery in Cambria with full Military Rites. Memorials may be given to the Legacy Lodge in Chariton, Iowa and condolences may be shared at www.thomasrandolphfh.com.
