Elsie Thomasson's Obituary
Elsie Thomasson, age 84, of Golden Age Care Center in Centerville and formally of Numa, Iowa, died Tuesday, September 26, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. She was born the daughter of Harry and Catherine (Gott) Morrison on May 1, 1922, southwest of Centerville. She received her education in the Numa and Centerville Community Schools.On February 28, 1941, Elsie was united in marriage to William 'Frank' Thomasson in Unionville, Missouri. She was a homemaker all her life. She loved her flowers, enjoyed quilting, cake decorating, painting her ceramics and going to craft shows. She was a member of UMW, Sugar Bells, Numa Friendly Neighbor Club and the Hospital Auxiliary where years she poured all the Christmas Ornaments for them and helped weekly to paint them.She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Frank Thomasson on September 4, 1980; one sister, Irene Morrison; three brothers, Wilber Morrison, Wayne Morrison, infant Steven Morrison; sister-in-law, Hannah Morrison; brother-in-law, Robert Shiltz; 1 granddaughter and a great granddaughter.Elsie is survived by: her three children, Colleen Daughtery and her husband, Vernon of Centerville, Kathleen Lyons and her husband, Roger of Mystic, Iowa and Keith Thomasson and his wife, Debbie of Numa, Iowa; Eleven grandchildren and Twenty great grandchildren; sisters, Lois and her husband, Larry Beach of Davenport, Iowa, Adeline Click and her husband, Doyle of Coarsegold, California; brothers, Laverne Morrison of Chicago, Illinois, Bob Morrison and his wife, Martha of Oregon, Illinois, Donald Morrison of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Raymond Morrison and his wife, Shirley of Yukon, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Patt Morrison of Silvis, Illinois and lots of nieces, nephews and a very special ceramic friend, Patty Sconzo.Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, September 29, 2006 at 11 am at the Thomasson Cemetery west of Centerville off of the Numa Highway with Pastor Kay Singley officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery.
