Elsie Russom's Obituary
Elsie Lillian Russom Elsie Lillian Russom, 93, formerly of Moulton, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008 at the Centerville Nursing & Rehab Center where she had been a resident for eight years. She was born May 20, 1914, in Red Oak, Okla., the daughter of Sidney and Katie Eoff. Elsie married Ray Russom on Nov. 12, 1932 in Clarendon, Texas. He preceded her in death in September 2004. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jerry Russom; three sisters; five brothers; and two great-grandsons. Survivors include her daughter, Patsy Cincotta of Centerville; a daughter-in-law, Marge (Lou) Bertolini of Novato, Calif.; grandchildren, Kevin (Carolyn) Reed of Corona, Calif., Jeri Lynn Reed of Norman, Okla., Leslie (Todd) Hendrickson and Amy Russom, both of California; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Martha (George) Nesloney of Refugio, Texas, Margaret (Leroy) Harbison of Beeville, Texas, and Clearsie Johnson of Weslaco, Texas; a brother, Thermon Eoff of Weslaco, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. She and her family moved from Texas to California in 1942. She lived in California until 1992 when she and Raymond moved to Moulton with their daughter, Patsy, and her husband, Joe. Elsie was a homemaker. She was a member of the Moulton United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home in Centerville. There will be no visitation and burial will be private. Memorials may be given to the Garrett Memorial Library in Moulton and mailed to or left at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th, Centerville IA 52544.
