Eloise Johnson's Obituary
Eloise Johnson, age 95, of Centerville died Sunday January 14, 2007 at Centerville Nursing and Rehab.
Eloise was born April 13, 1911, the daughter of Oscar and Myrtle (Caster) Johnson in rural Exline. She graduated from Exline High School. Eloise owned and operated Bratz Studio in Centerville, working in photography for over fifty years. She was active in many civic organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce, BPW, (Business Professional Women) PEO, and the Hospital Auxillary. Eloise was a member of the First Methodist Church in Centerville. She loved to play cards and was in the Bridge Club for many years.
Eloise is survived by her two sisters, Betty Foster and Dorothy Perkins both of Centerville, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Alfreda Bruce; a brother Edwin Johnson; and an infant brother Gailard Johnson.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, January 18, 2007 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home in Centerville with Pastor Dianne Christopher officiating. Interment will follow at the Exline Cemetery. Friends may call or stop by the funeral home all day Wednesday for an open visitation. A memorial has been established to the Exline Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S.18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
