Elizbeth Bitner's Obituary
Elizabeth ""Beth"" Ann Whicker-Bitner, age 53, of Moravia, died December 13, 2006, at the Mercy Medical Center, Centerville, IA.
Beth was born March 31, 1953, the daughter of Max and Betty (Atkinson) Whicker in Centerville, Iowa. Beth graduated from Moravia High School in 1971. She married Dickie Lee Bitner in December 1972. He preceded her in death. Beth worked for Rubbermaid in Centerville for fifteen years. She enjoyed watching scary movies, going to the Casinos, fishing and playing cards (pitch). Beth loved to have fun.
Beth is survived by her mother; Betty Whicker, a daughter; Peggy Sue (Bitner) White of Moravia, IA, two step-children; Paula (Mike) Harvey of Seymour, IA and Becky (Thad) Sowder of Mesa, AZ, two step-grand children; Josie and Jake Harvey, two brothers; Ronald ""Buck"" Wayne Whicker of Moravia, IA and John David Whicker of Moravia, IA, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Beth was preceded in death by her husband; Dickie, her father; Max, and her grandparents; Harry and Naoma Atkinson and Oatie and Wilma Whicker.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM, Monday, December 18, 2006 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at the Mainstation Cemetery, Moravia, Iowa. A visitation will be held Sunday, December 17, 2006 with family present from 5-7 PM. The family has requested that visitors dress casually. A memorial has been established to the family, in lieu of flowers and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, IA 52544.
