Elizabeth Caitlin McDowell's Obituary
Elizabeth Caitlin McDowell, age 20, of Centerville, Iowa, died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at her home in Centerville. She was born the daughter of Steven and Debra (Van Huss) McDowell on November 15, 1988 in Ottumwa, Iowa.Elizabeth was always her Dad's girl, always, always. The best part of her day was keeping an eye out for her brother Danny: listening, watching, smiling â?¦ she loved her brother so. She loved music and we have certain favorites that she has listened to since she was a baby. There has always been music playing somewhere in her life; now we will play her music and feel our sweet girl close by. For her mother, Elizabeth was everything: everything good, everything beautiful, and everything right in this world. To say that she was a gift from God is to say that life is good. Life is good. God is good. And we are grateful. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville, Iowa. She was preceded in death by: her Maternal and Paternal Great Grandparents; Aunt, Jayne Rice; cousin, Lesley Elizabeth Rice; and a uncle, Robert Van Huss.Elizabeth is survived by: her parents, Steven and Debra McDowell of Centerville, Iowa; a brother, Daniel Joseph McDowell of Centerville, Iowa; her paternal grandparents, Arlo and Madeline McDowell of Des Moines, Iowa; and her maternal grandparents, James and Janice Van Huss of Wichita, Kansas.Mass of Resurrection will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 11 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville, Iowa with Fr.
