Elizabeth "Lizzie" Freeborn's Obituary
Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Freeborn, age 19, of Moulton, Iowa, died Friday, October 31, 2014 from injuries she received in an auto accident west of Moulton, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Vincent Freeborn and Roberta (Burns) Freeborn on July 4, 1995 in Rockford, Illinois. Lizzie graduated from Moulton-Udell Community High School in 2013 where she played in the school Jazz Band, was President of the National Honor Society and was a cheerleader. After graduation, she began attending Indian Hills Community College in Centerville to pursue a Nursing Degree. Lizzie attended the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church east of Centerville.She is preceded in death by: her maternal grandmother, Glenice M. Burns on September 28, 2011.Lizzie is survived by: her parents, Vince Freeborn of Waterford, Wisconsin and Roberta Freeborn of Moulton, Iowa; paternal grandparents, George and Ingrid Freeborn of Centerville, Iowa; maternal grandfather, Robert Burns of Moulton, Iowa; a special sister, Alicia Davenport of Winter Park, Florida along with her father, Mark Davenport of Moulton, Iowa; and her boyfriend, Chase Kirby of Moulton, Iowa.Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Grace Tabernacle Baptist Church in Centerville, Iowa with Zachary Burns and Marshall Burns officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunset Cemetery north of Moulton, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4 from 2 pm until 8 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with the family present from 6 pm until 8 pm.A memorial fund has been established and will be designated at a later date.
