Elizabeth M. Battistello, age 85, of Centerville, Iowa, died Monday, October 23, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. She was born the daughter of John and Maria (Pellin) Battistello on February 20, 1921 in Centerville. She graduated from the Centerville Community Schools and later attended Beauty School.Elizabeth was a Beauty Operator owned her own The Beauty Mart for over 43 years in Centerville. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville.She was preceded in death by: her parents and her brother, John 'Tony' Battistello.Elizabeth is survived by: a nephew, Jack Battistello and his wife, Mary and a niece, Marilyn Hamre all of Pella, Iowa; 9 grand nieces and nephews.Mass of Resurrection will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 1:30 pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville with Fr. Ron Will, CPP.S. officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 from 1 pm till 8 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville with the family present from 6 till 8 pm and a prayer service at 7:30 pm at the funeral home.Memorials can be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church and may be left at or mailed to the To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Elizabeth M.
