Eli was a kind man with a genuine heart. I'd come to work in the mornings at Gordie's Bar and he be sitting at the machine gambling. I ask, are ya winning Eli? He'd say, this damn thing isn't being so kind right now! Rest easy my friend. You sure are gonna be missed at Gordie's Bar. Spread your wings and fly High.
Eli was a loving father and taught you to be a great women wife , mother and better now a grandmother. He will live in you heart forever
My Uncle was a quiet man but he loved talking about his grandchildren and his two daughters.
Eli enjoyed gardening and canning. You always felt welcomed to his home. Some times you may show up when he would be making spaghetti in his Instant pot or fried potatoes with onions and he would always offer you some.
Uncle Eli enjoyed visiting with his sister Rosalie when she stopped out and got tomatoes.
I will miss his smile and chuckles.
