Elberta Heriford's Obituary
Elberta Heriford, age 87, of Centerville died December 5, 2006 at Golden Age Care Center, Centerville.
Elberta was born July 5, 1919, the daughter of Doris and Mary (Schissler) Heriford in Iconium, IA. She worked for Monroe Plastics in Albia and Johnson Barber & Beauty Supply in Moravia. Elberta enjoyed sewing, her grandchildren and spending time with family and friends.
Elberta is survived by her son, Kenny (Sherri) Heriford of Centerville, IA; six grandchildren, Bobby Heriford of Ottumwa, IA, Cassy Heriford of Winfield, KS, Tanya (Mike) Henderson of Mystic, IA, Zach Egbert of Centerville, IA, Tim (Debbie) Batterson of Ottumwa, IA, Tami (Ryan) Walker of Newton, IA; twelve great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Marvin Heriford; and a nephew, Harold Heriford.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM, Saturday, December 9, 2006 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home with Tim Batterson officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. An open visitation will be held all day Friday. A memorial has been established to Hospice and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, IA 52544.
