Edward L. Vandemark's Obituary
Edward Leon Vandemark, age 71 of Exline, Iowa passed away in his home surrounded by family on December 28, 2009.
Leon was born on September 7, 1938 to Harry and Viola (Shiltz) Vandemark.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Viola; two brothers, James and Howard; a son-in-law Jack Wells; and a step-grandson Allen Lee.
Leon is survived by his soul mate and wife Martha (Dee) Davis of Exline, Iowa; a daughter Debbie Wells of Cincinnati, Iowa; a step daughter Lisa (Randy) Wilkins of Exline, Iowa; a step son Virgil (Sondra) Lee of Missouri; four grandchildren, Chanda (Jr) Willingham of Cincinnati, Iowa; Jackie and Jason Wells of Cincinnati, Iowa, and Patty (John) Hatfield of Mystic, Iowa; ten step grandchildren, Scott (Kristina) Wilkins of Centerville, Jenna Wilkins of Centerville, Jaimie (Tim) Davis of Centerville, Jessica Wilkins of Missouri, Shane Wilkins of Exline, Iowa, Todd Warnick of Missouri, Phillip Lee of Ottumwa, Iowa, Nick Lee of Ottumwa, Iowa, Travis Lee of Missouri, and Shaynelle Lee of Missouri; three brothers, Ardis (Tina) Vandermark of Des Moines, Iowa, Gilbert (Sue) Vandemark of Centerville, Iowa, and David (Karen) Vandemark of Centerville, Iowa; and a sister Margaret (Jim) Williamson of Centerville.
Leon had many friends through his life. He was the best father and husband that anyone could ask for. Leon was well known and respected for his carpentry work and many years as a box factory foreman. He will be greatly missed by his large family and many friends.
